A Place for Everything and Everything in Its Place...

Who doesn't love having a vintage something or other in which to keep crafty tools, supplies, and projects in progress.

Here are a few of my storage options for crochet-related things...

Nifty fifties "pony tail" pencil case - no pencils, just my trusty crochet hooks.

Old-timey folding yarn/knitting basket (or magazine holder) - and yes, it IS overflowing!

Wee woven sewing basket... gee, I really need to finish those projects!

So, do tell - how do you use vintage for storage?

I have one of those folding knitting bags too-I use it for storing patterns. I also keep sewing supplies in an old tackle box, and fabric scraps in several vintage suitcases.

I love your pony tail zip pouch!

We use vintage suitcases and purses for everything from DVDs to cocktail supplies. Also, and I know this sounds awful, I have my grandmother's ashes in an ice bucket. It's a really fabulous ice bucket and it's a lot better than the cardboard box my aunt had her in. I think she'd approve.

Oh, vintage suitcases are the best!

Valerie - I too use a tackle box, only it's for my jewelry-making tools. ;-)

VL - I don't think it sounds awful - there are some really wonderful ice buckets out there. ;-)

I am boring; we are still using my grandparents' Art Moderne bureau and vanity table for our bedroom set! Hubby uses my vintage bowl vases for his little bags of mixed pipe tobaccos...

A young friend of ours (early 20s) recently bought a pair of catseye glasses (which look adorable on her) just so she could have the gold-speckled plastic zip-case for storage of her "littles"!

I use an old shoe caddy (the fabric kind with pockets) to store my mailing and craft supplies for my Etsy shop. Everything is so handy and I never need to go searching for things!
